How about a slip of paper. One tiny page. On it would be: "If it harms no one, do what you want"

That's all a religious text needs to say for rules on how to live their lives. The afterlife or whatever is up to whoever to decide what they believe, that isn't what's hurting people, but what they think they're being told to do here on earth. So jsut give people one command, one thing to live by and set them on their way. It's pretty straightforward, no interpretation or debate necessary, doesn't discriminate, it's what a beleif system should be. And it's all inclusive.

I don't have a problem with people believing in stuff, just that they use that beleif to trample on the freedoms of others or hurt people that don't think the same. Both would be eliminated with this solution.

I would offer them Mother Earth. God the creator gave us this earth to live on and everything that we do here should revolve around the care of it. This would eliminate the need for all wars, people would learn to share and get the most out of the world for the betterment of all, as we are all children of the earth. We would learn to replenish the earth and would learn to share equally, there would be no need of religion as we now know it. There would be no killing, no stealing as everything would be shared. Ever notice on Star Trek that no one steals from one another, food is for everyone, drinks are made so that no one gets drunk, life is sort of idyllic. Religions of today have a history that is going to take another thousand years to erase so why keep tuning into them. In the short run yes the Ipod might be better.

How about personal responsibility, self fulfilment and trust in each other?

My life is happy, very fulfilled and socially aware! I don't have any religious beliefs but have not, as yet, descended into anarchy, greed or selfishness.

I take responsibility for my own actions - unlike some who think it doesn't matter what they do because god will forgive them.

Or at least belief in something tangible, something that can be proven - like science!

I wouldn't offer them anything, it is their path to choose.

I wouldn't save them from their ignorance even if they could be saved.
