how about this one? when i lived at home, our neighbor was named richard hunter. but, he actually preferred to be called dick. that's right, he went by the name of dick hunter. to make it even funnier, the guy was a big real estate hot shot around the area, so everywhere you went there were these signs, "For Sale by Dick Hunter and Associates.
also, my husband went to school with twins named oranjelo and lemonjelo. how did they get the names? when there mother was in the hospital with complications for days before having them, she was on a liquid diet. her favorite fare during that time was (you guessed it!) orange jello and lemon jello.

Two of the worst names come to mind are Iona Dick and she was from Dry Prong, Louisiana. Now that is cruel. The other one was where the child's first name was Nosmo. I do tax work and I was preparing the mother's return. So I asked her where she came up with the name Nosmo? As it turns out that was the part of the No Smoking sign she could see while lying in a charity ward. That's lame.

Years ago, I worked in a credit union. One of the regulars was a very large pro-wrestler looking man whose first name was Tiffany. Yes, that was his real first name and the name he went by.
Also I remember hearing about a baby boy with the last name of Day being named Zippity Doo Dah.

I come from South America (Peru) and in the Selva we get lots of crates delivered from the US. There was a story in the paper once about this girl called 'Madenusa' and her parents had gotten the idea for her name from the sides of the crates which said 'Made in USA'. Swear it's true! They even showed the copy of the notice of her officially changing her name!

I know a couple that named their son"Jazzbird", now that is funny. Don't you think and now she expecting her second child and she is going to name him, "Quintet". I feel bad for these kids when they grow up.
