my mom's computer is a Compaq Presario Windows XP laptop.. now when you start the computer it says to sign in..she put a password on it so we cant get it... is there ANY way i could figure out the password, or get by the password part in any way at all? thnks!

Just ask Mum for the password, or to let you register your own password to keep her information private and still let you use her computer. Her password is the Administrator password.

What you are asking is at the very least unethical. If the computer is not yous it may well be illegal as well. I hope no one will assist you with this endeavor.
If you mis-worded your post you can bring it to any computer shop, prove it is you computer, and they can reset the password.
