Hey Sonya43,

Try contacting William Roseboro Sr. to see if he has inside information on how the contestants poems were published. Usually, at a convention there is a book of the convention. I would imagine at such an annual contest the same would be true.

Best shot at finding it is the 3rd web site containing the following Text:

World of Poetry, 2431 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817 - Poetry Editor: Eddie Lou Cole, Book title: Who's who in Poetry, Vol.11 First Edition 1988, Biography and Photo Pages 16-17, Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 86-50573, ISBN 0-910147-12-4 Copyright 1988.

I live in Sacramento, CA also and what I tell a lot of people on this site who have real questions is to go to the Library of Congress' website at: loc.gov and post your question(s) there. If it was written anywhere, they have it or know where to find it. Have fun with your research and remember this site.

Try the search enging dogpile.com, its all of the big search engines combined. If you put in the name of the poem or the author you may be able to find it that way. Or you may have to look for poem websites.
