Personally, I think a really good bartender (the ones who are creative and can flip the bottles when making a drink) are awesome. But, when I was on a cruise in January, our waiter, who is from Romania, was extremely awesome - he'd dance with us and make jokes and so on. So I think it's more the personality of the person who has the job. There are jerk bartenders, waiters, and caterers out there, so more focus needs to be put on the person.

If you are serving up a surprise... an intimate dinner for two with a private waiter (NOT someone she knows... even if it is your cousin) is impressive... in the right setting, of course.
:)
If you are trying to decide which JOB would impress a girl the most...
... if she likes to eat or just likes good food -- a caterer... but a 5 star chef would be even better
... if she likes to drink or just likes her guy to know his drinks (hopefully not more intimately than he knows her...) a barman of the Tom Cruise variety -- looks and showmanship
... if she is a teenager and just needs a guy who can pay for the movie or make his own car payments, the waiter will do.
Cheers!

Barman/bartender hands down. You might be the owner. At the very least you have a high profile job in your industry and are busy.
waiter - poor, doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up or is a struggling actor, meh.
Caterer - Gaaaaaayyy!
maybe thats just me, but that's what comes to mind.

From my experience, girls like confident (not needy) guys. So, first be nice with a girl you like but also pretend to be confident and flirtatious. Then, when she starts playing hard to get, ignore her completely, don’t be rude or upset though, say hi but pretend you are busy with other things, make her feel she is not the center of your life. I assure you she will go crazy and after few weeks will want you more then ever. Continue being cool and let her “convince” you. The problem is that most boys try to "convince" girls too hard and, instead, scare them away, but the actual best way to impress a girl is to ignore her… try, and if does not work, don’t worry, try again with another one. Good luck!

None of the above, these aren't occupations that impress. Become a Chef and open your own restaurant, Create a world renowned signature dish, Open a chain of fine restaurants all over the world and then write a book. Soon you will find yourself on Oprah with a fake British accent and women swooning all over you.

I'd have to say caterer. There's a lot of responsibility and organization involved in catering. That shows maturity. It's also a fascinating job.

You mean girls are impressed by the job of their date? How times have changed, we used to be impressed by quite different attributes - but then we used to go ballroom dancing and to the local jazz club or jive club and body contact was great.
You just don't know what your missing these days and no, that wasn't a bunch of car keys in your partner's pocket - my cousin used to think it was!

a bartender, they usually have good personalities, that is if they want to make any money!!! But the life-long bartender will always have to watch out for the lawyer that comes in for a quick drink after work.....now he will impress the ladies!!!!
