Depends on what you refer to as immortality. Immortality can be no more than being remembered in history. It can mean some eternal afterlife or ascention to a higher state of existance. It can mean never aging, or worse, never being able to die. Most commonly it is considered procreation, the continuity of or family lines through our progeny.
