I.v been told there was a prisoner of war camp around the Blackheath area can any one give me any information on this. Blackheath is in Greenwich London.

I've never heard of one and I lived half a mile awaay for 50 years, there is however a territorial army base.

I haven't been able to track one down. Have a look at the link. There were a number of camps in London but not at or near Blackheath as far as I can see.

No I'm pretty certain that is wrong. I lived there at the time and Blackheath was covered in anti-aircraft artillery and searchlights.

There was one on Wanstead flats east London e12 they wre identified by a yellow diomond on the back of thier tunic
