I am tall skinny but at school the guys tell me i'm ugly and 2 girls were writing a letter about how ugly I am I've been trying to gain weight for years but I can't should I give it a shot at modeling even though I am ugly?

Forget the guys at school. Forget the stupid girls writing the stupid letter. They obviously have nothing better to do. Then there's you...thinking about your future. One thing you need to learn right now is that the only thing that matters is what you believe about yourself. Those mean people at school get a kick out of tearing someone else down. Those very people would try to be your friend if you end up being a supermodel. I say believe in yourself and if you truly TRULY want to be a model, YOU CAN DO IT. You're you for a reason. Be thankful for that. If you keep repeating things like you're ugly that is what you will see in the mirror. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. You are the one who has to find your own beauty and work it. I wish you all the best!

girl first of all you won't even make it in the modeling business if you think you are ugly. You need more confidence. But if you have the body and look for it... of corse you need to go for it. But modeling is not just about looks. you have to have the right attitude. Write Tyra and ask her. I want to be a model too but it hard work. But i say go for it. If you are single and you have no big obligations going on in your life then you'll be able to stick to and believe me it would probably change your life for the good. Good luck!

first of all have you ever seen the program called AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, the modelling world of today is looking for more than just beauty or prettiness, if you think you have something speacial then go for it, but the by the sound of it i think you are lacking in the self confidence department, and to become a model you have to be self confident, bold and go for what you want, if you really want to this i think you should go for it and dont listen to what anyone wants to say.

You should always give your dreams a shot...that said, just know that the modeling world is one of the most superficial careers there probably is. You'll be subjecting yourself to comments like that and a lot worse...on a daily basis.

What makes a model is personality...check out ANTM winners...they won b/c of their self-confidence (among other things of course); the ones that thought they were ugly went home quick. You've got to rise above what those guys are saying & really believe you're better than that & that you are beautiful.

Ugh, Isn't it amazing what people do to their own kind? If modeling is what you really want to do, then go for it, don't let them stop you. My only advice is to sign up with Ford Models, they (in my opinion) are the best agency. Try not to listen to those people.

Who told you that you are not preaty. Models are not the most beautiful women in the world. When girls talk about you they see potential. Look at pictures of Tyra then and now.

It doesen't really matter if you have a pretty face or not. The industry is looking for unique faces. but u cant be too skinny if u want to be a model. they banned skinnny models.

I don't know if modeling would be for you. A huge aspect of modeling is self confidence and if you have none it will come across. I think before you pursue anything like modeling you need to work on your self esteem! Who cares what other people think or say about you, you need to feel good about yourself...
