if i'm mexican and a long time ago it was new spain and was ruled by the spanish settlers does this mean that i'm aldo spanish, only spanish, or mexican?

You are a Mexican because you were born in Mexico. In the USA many states, towns were settled by various ethic groups, but we are all Americans because we were born in what is now America.
In fact the first people who lived and ruled here were the Indians, but that doesn't make me an Indian.

You're Mexican it just means that it's part of Hispanic culture (belonging to Spain) and that your ancestors came from Spain. Most people in the "New World" have ancestors from Europe, Africa, and Asia. Even though most of the 4'th generations+ has kind of distance blood, you will always have ties to the old country. Of course if you are a 100% Native American than you don't unless you want to get technical and say your ancestors came from Asia about 3,000 years ago or so.
