Organised Trick or Treat (when parents check with neighbours & friends) is fine and fun for many kids but older kids should be stopped/detered from as you say ..... demanding goods with menaces.

I have never been trick or treating and have never taken my daughter. I think its begging and as such should not be allowed.
I remember when I was about 10 trick or treaters came round and Dad sent them away and told them not to go next door because our neighbour lived alone and was very old, there was an adult with them but they went anyway and our neighbour was scared and banged on the chimny breast for Dad to go round and help him Dad had to sit with him till late at night

Yes its so annoying. Every 5 Min's, Kidz banging on the door and swearing if you tell them to clear off. Last night children as young as 6 / 7 came into the pub, rattling buckets under your nose and demanding pound coins only.

trick or treating is not the harmless fun that u think it is it stems back from pagan sacrifices and devil occults if we go back to where it began i believe most parents would not allow their children to take part ,if u dont want to kook at it this way which is the way god looks at it in the bible then look at it the worlds way you are encouraging your children to take sweets of strangers and to beg and play pranks what do you do teach them not to eat of strangers all year and then to have off strangers on this particular day what if children knock doors alone how do you know some one is not going to drag them in and abuse them

No! It's fun and traditional and people who want to ban in are all grumpy old do-gooders who have no concept of the word fun.
