No its a lie just like all the other lies we were told about Iraq.
How does stirring the flames of hostility make anyone safe?
Hopefully we see the whole mess as nothing more than the Corporate enterprise that it is.

No one with even half a brain would think a terrorist would stand and fight. They will not. They do the dirty work behind your back. Just like in Nam. Terrorist are cowards. They will never face our Marines in a fair fight. They would not even face the average American in a fair fight. The thing most Idiots do not understand is that the terrorist do the dirty work behind your back. That war can not be won, we had the same problem in Nam. We did not know friend from foe. The Terrorist don't have a number or mark on them now do they? It is purely stupid that they would stand and fight. Now study the "History" of Nam and the "History" of the Russians who were killed by the 1000s in Afghanistan before they gave up a no win fight. BTW, the Muslim hate ploy is getting old and tired. There are 1.8 billion who follow Isalm in the world, would you nuke them all? I would not since only about 15 percent are considered by experts to be radical muslims. We also could use the 147,000 troops in Iraq to guard our borders. Since the 700 mile fence was only a Republicans elections stunt.

The biggest problem we have are the amount of people in our country that have never had to really be emerged in the hatred that the Muslim world has for the west.
They are indoctrinated from birth to despise everything that we value. Do not kid yourself. If we don't keep up an attack on them somewhere else in the world, they will begin an attack on us here.
I can always spot a liberal, they fall into the "think for yourself" attack, but all they are really doing is repeating the rhetoric of their liberal thinking leaders.

Depends on who you talk to. Do you want an answer from someone who has been there or someone sitting safely at a computer in the US who agrees with you?
If experience and first hand knowledge counts for anything , I will believe my son who was "over there" as you put it. He saw things that the terrorist/insurgents were willing and even happy to do to their own people just to make a point and get media attention.
Theory being if they can do that to their own women and children what will they do to people they can't stand (mainly us).

No, it really doesn't make any sense given history not only of the US but of Islam also. Through some twist of logic and ignoring certain facts conservatives believe there is a connection though.

First of all, I'm assuming you exclude yourself from that "anyone with an education" category, based on the ill-constuction of your question.
Secondly, this war has a purpose. And if it must be fought (and it needs to be), let it be on their ground. I do not want a war going on right outside my front door, where my children currently play safely. Non-military people are always among the casualties in a war, even if it isn't right. But if a child must die, let it be one who has already received instruction on how to be a human bomb in a bus station rather than my child, who lives in the land of the free.
The history of our country reflects wars with significantly higher death tolls. Or have you not read that??

Search for truth leads to wanting to puke
I am now so pissed I am appaled and ashamed
can I go back to sleep now?
I know what really happens and it's pretty much out of my hands and only God can deal with it. That's why the burden is light, I know I cannot fix it, especially without wisdom.

just look at what happened on Sept 11
and ask yourself the question again
if you really have to think about it then your either naive or foolish
or liberal or all of the above
you think that leaving Iraq will end the terrorist activity ?
you think leaving Europe after our Veterans got to France and liberated Paris would have ended the conflict called WW!!
read some history

Fight them over there or buy Burkas for all the females in your family. Because if we don't face them over there, they will infiltrate, even more than they are now, our borders and defeat us from within.

Its a waste of time, money, and resources. Apply the Vietnam model to Iraq, reference how many people are referring to this as a quagmire and keep in mind Bush Jr, never made it to Vietnam so he never learned the lessons there and applied them to Iraq. Using simplistic statements like fighting them there so we don't have to is pretty much the same argument Bush is using right now sitting in his tub as he is sinking his rubber battleship with his nuclear armed rubber ducky.
