My pet alligator, Razor, has escaped from my apartment (he's 16 feet 4 inches long and weighs about 450 pounds). How can I go about finding him?
I keep calling out "Razor, Razor!" - but there is no answer.

Call someone to help! Now! Having a 450 lb. alligator is dangerous. Contact your neighbors so they can put up small pets and even small children. Watch out because if Razor gets too hungry he might take a bite out of you!

Get a container of alligator treats and walk around the neighbourhood shaking the treats and saying his name.
I would also put up some signs......
LOST RAZOR with his picture and maybe offer a reward.

Wow 16 feet and only 450 lbs! He's so increadably under weight! He should be atleast 1000lbs. My guess is he ran away because your starving the poor guy! I would check out your local animal shelter, they are usually over run with unwanted pets and he could be there getting a bite to eat. Once you find him you'll need to increase his diet, fatten him up a bit then he should stay home.

Ha ha ha. Funny.
If this is serious, get a humane animal trap large enough for Razor. Put some nice meat in there. When he gets hungry, he'll come home. The trap will catch him, and you can bring him inside. I wouldn't worry too much about him providing for himself, if he was your pet. And if you find out about missing mailmen, better look in the area.

Did you actually know its illegal to have an alligator as a Pet? You should report it to a local animal shelter and get a pet that you can care for properly.

You could bait and alligator trap with a small child... alligators like kids, right? Did you look in the sewer, or your closest pot of gumbo?

Do gators have ears?? I don't think he'll hear you. Put a dead chicken on your door step. Once he gets hungry, he'll come home.
