Husqvarna YTH180 mower. Can not find switches on clutch or blades but are locked out,kills motor. I unpluged seat & repluged & it worked for a minute & quit again.repeated wih no results. If clutch & blades are disingaged motor runs without sitting in seat. I removed & taped switch down, still did no good.

seat switches are cheap. take it off and go to your local mower shop and get a new one.
Also write down the numbers on the sticker under the seat. More than likely, they'll ask you for the model number and SN#

You will need a schematic for the circuits involved. They have made things more difficult so that people can not defeat the seat switch. have you tried Husqvarna online? Some mower companies have manuals online line. I got one for my Wheel Horse. I had to print out about 60 pages.

there are several safety switches on most mowers now days.
look for 1 when you raise and lower the mower deck, under seat, brake peddle and some times clutch peddle as well
with motor off, raise deck check very carefuly for something jamming the blades, check and double check all belts
