Why has this not been talked about in the US media?

Greg R....If Germany fired over an
Israeli ship,it would make US media
headlines.But,they other way around,
it gets buried.Mainly what I'm asking is
why they did such a thing.Provocation?

Well Israel denies what the German newspaper reported...Israel confirmed that an incident took place but denied reports that the Israeli jets fired two shots.
Well if Israel did fired it wouldn't be the first time they shot "by mistake" a ship that does not want to attack Israel...I have no idea why they would do something like this..
And I think that they didn't find it enough important since Israel denied it ...and it wasn't only US media who didn't reported.this news was reported in very few countries...

Because it isn't a story. If they did, this is how it would read: "Israel military fired a warning shot over the bow of a German naval vessel". Wow,that is so newsworthy it should be ont he front page, and the lead story at 5:00. What exactly is the point you are trying to make here?

The daily Der Tagesspiegel quoted a German junior defence minister as telling a parliamentary committee that two Israeli F-16 fighters had flown low over the ship, firing twice.

The minister did not say when the incident happened or what had caused it.
