Yesterday we went for a long walk and it was pretty warm I had him covered from the son in the stroller, but later on in the day I noticed his left cheek all of a sudden got really bright red. and he seems okay but I also noticed he is growing about 4 teeth on his top gum, so I am wondering if anybody has had this before... could it be he red cause he is teething or cause of the heat... this morning it is still red.

If your son is unhappy he could just be teething. Try giving him some calpol and this will reduce the redness on his face if it has been caused by teething. If this doesn't work go to the doctor.

When my daughter teethed, she always ran a low-grade fever. I know that docs say that's a myth but in my experience it's not. But it is very possible that he was just overheated. Little ones can overheat easily. They just can't seem to cool off as easily as we do. The quickest way to cool him off might be to wipe him down with a wet wash cloth, cooling his skin like sweat would.

some times babies get red spots just out of the blue. his teething should not cause redness on the out side. when out side remember that babies get warm 3 times quicker than adults. my young grand daughter gets red around her mouth when she drools a reaction to her own saliva. if it doesnt go away within a couple of days and your still concerned see his doc.

If it looks serious you might want to take him to a doctor, but if not then I'm sure it'll go away in a couple days.

people say to it is to teething, but doctors have shown that teething doesn't make fevers, he probably just got hot.
