Depends on the browser you are using.Firefox go to View, then Text Size.
If you are using IE 7 go to the Page tab then go to text size.
IE 6 should be similar to these.

If you are using the internet and you want the website's font bigger, go to view and then click text size. But, with what you are talking about, it seems as though the font of everything on your computer is tiny. Here is what you do: Go to Control panel, then when it opens, click apperence on the top tabs. On my computer, it is the 4th tab from the left. Then, at the bottom, there will be a drop down arrow under font size with three different settings to choose from. You should maybe try the biggest first and adjust from there. I hope my advice helped you, and sorry it's so long. I know how it feels to not have an answer that helps!

If you have win xp,

Go into your Control Panel by first clicking on the Start Button.

Then click on the Control Panel icon located in the right column of the Start Menu.

If your Start Menu is set to the Classic View, then begin by clicking on the Start Button.

Then click on Settings, then click on the Control Panel icon to open up the Control Panel.

Now, Double click on the Display icon to open up the Display Properties Window.

Then click on the Appearance tab at the top of the screen.

At the bottom left side of the screen you will see an area to change the Font Size:

Use your mouse to switch between normal, large and extra large according to your preference.

Then click on the OK button to save your changes and exit Display Properties window.

Windows XP will immediately adjust to your new Font Size without restarting your system.

Then close the Control Panel to return back to your Windows Session.

I think it's in your resolution settings in My Computer. Right click on your desktop, and go to properties, then settings. Fiddle with it, and see if it helps.
