I am guessing what you meant to say is unplugged music right? The difference is when you hear of a band playing unplugged they are playing with all acoustic insturments not electric. That's all it means.

Unplugged refers to rock musicians primarily known for playing electric amplified instruments (usually the electric guitar) performing live using only acoustic instruments.

The word became incorporated into the title of a popular MTV series that began in the 1989/1990 TV season, MTV Unplugged, on which musicians performed acoustic or "unplugged" versions of their familiar repertoire. Many of these performances were subsequently released as albums, often featuring the title Unplugged.

Unplugged music means that instead of using electric instruments, the songs are played on acoustic instruments. They're more mellow and sometimes a bit slower than the original versions.

I assume you mean 'unplugged' music, if so then the answer is that 'unplugged music' uses non amplified instruments, i.e. acoustic guitars, violins without attached pick-ups etc. They will use microphones to broadcast the sound however.

You mean "unplugged"? If that's the case, it means they're playing acoustically, i.e. acoustic guitars (not electric/plugged in), tambourines or acoustic drums (cant remember the name) and usually a classical tall bass. The singer sings softer, everything is slower.

Unplugged music is where you need batteries to listen to it or a wind up radio would do as obviously its unplugged so no electricity to run the stereo.

It's a pretentious way of saying it was a live performance.
