I am assisting in leading/organizing the building of a float for our church to be pulled in an upcoming Christmas parade (in December). Anyone have any ideas of what should be on the float? Also, any information on building floats...materials, website info., etc? THANKS!

You could try using small chicken wire & then using kleenex tissue to insert into the openings for different colors.

Use lots of crepe paper streamers.

The people riding the float can use bubbles instead of throwing any candy out.

Ideas for a Christmas float vary depending upon the size and number of participant and person beliefs... could go with 12 Days of Christmas, Nativity Scene, Charley Brown Christmas, Night Before Christmas theme, or even a Spongebob Christmas.

Here is a site about building a float (but mostly chicken wire, lots of colored tissue and hour and hours of work stuffing the chicken wire by enthusiatic volunteers..great way to meet new people and bond with people you already know):
