how can i setup this in my computer -configure the a new hard drive as master and old drive as slave.

There's a jumper you have to set to change the old master to the slave, and set the jumper on the new to master.

Look on the label of the hard drives, it will tell you where to set it.

eww that is a good question i would do this. get a harddrive port meaning its like a card for your harddrive and hook old one up to taht and then install new one and have that running as your master.
