Because I don't think many people realize that their current profession could be used in the Agency. So the CIA wants to peak their idea of working for the Agency. This will lead to the ultimate, diverse thnic group of people with different professional backgounds working for the CIA. This is what made our country so great. Now it'll make the CIA great agian.

Oh, FYI since you mention Bush. I don't really think the Commericals have anything to do with the president or wait!!! Maybe it does. In Fact. Bush want's to increase the CIA. because B. Clinton destroyed the CIA with over 40% cuts in personnel. In fact. No President in our Nations History has experienced the level and amount of attacks during peace time than Bill Clinton has while he was in office. Yes, during Peace time.. wow ! That doesn't look good for Bubba (aka Bill Clinton)

They use to only recruit white males from Ivy League schools. The problem with that is that if you only recruit one type of person, they all think the same and come up with the same solutions to problems. Since the CIA is made up of people that need to solve problems and use their brains, it makes sense to recruit from the widest pool possible and to reach people that they would not normally reach if they just used their old recruiting methods. By the way, George H. Bush was the Director of the CIA.

It needs a greater variety of workers due to the change in global terrorism, UK has to recruit more people from ethnic backgrounds and females.

If you want operatives to gather intelligence, they need to fit into the desired background - this can only be achieved if they are very similar to the targeted group(s).
