My girlfriend and I are going to be in the Houston area for New Years Eve this year. What are some good things to do?

First off, when people say anything is boring or a city, the ONLY reason is because THEY are toomuch used to it themselves. That is a FACT. even if someone lives in the Big Apple and another person asks if NYC is a fun place, they will probbaly say it is boring (depending on how long they've lived there.) Although places or new consumer items(games, food, music,etc.) claim "never get's old/boring"., that's BULLSHIT. the truth is, Human beings are ALWAYS looking for something new or different, whatever it is, places or items. Hell, there are people who get bored with LIFE, and commit suicide. you can either look at this as a good thing or a bad thing. it is not an opinion. THis is also a damn GOOD reason to continue space exploration. EARTH will one day become so populated, it will become BORING. Maybe won't happen in another million years or could happen tommorow, but we need to look for new places, new horizons, and new lives for the sake of boredom. So, DON'T take advice from locals. I myself have lived here my whole life, and also am a victim of this human pandemic(boredom). if you have never experienced something before, you will probbaly enjoy it for it's differences. (Not always, though) Always try new things.

attempt the as quickly as a year occasion @ the Hyatt Regency Downtown. It has 2 rooms with music, large "Buffet" meals & lease a room in case you are able to in case you get fortunate! Thumbs down? Excuuuuuse me. it quite is basically a miles greater suitable occasion than Sam's Leaky Boat!

There's fireworks at various sites,and all the big hotels downtown have real big parties,other than that not much,this is a pretty boring city for it's size

Save money and go by plane to NYC. There is no other place in the world that compares.
