You can still keep you cell service as long as you pay the bill usually you give them a list of accounts for your bankruptcy

I am in the process of filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy now and my lawyer said I could as long as I kept up with the bill

The bigger question might be whether the cell phone is really necessary - maybe you should drop it so you can pay for other things you might need more.
