I'm glad you exposed this issue. No,the FEDS know
students and faculty are smart enough to form their
own opinions, they just want to stop people from voicing
them. The only way to fight it is to speak ...speak loudly
and often. We have learned from the past that silence
doesn't work.

I would highly suggest you read the "Academic Bill of Rights". It exists solely to keep conservatives from being silenced,as they are at liberal campuses (think Columbia storming the stage last month, kids throwing things at Ann Coulter, etc). Heaven forbid that professors of say....math or business not be allowed to indoctrine kids into their political ideology and instead be obligated to teach the class they were hired to teach and not be hired on the basis of their political affilitaion.

Here's a quote:

"Academic freedom consists in protecting the intellectual independence of professors, researchers and students in the pursuit of knowledge and the expression of ideas from interference by legislators or authorities within the institution"

Keep drinking the kool-aid!

That pretty much goes along with the other side of the aisle trying to ban tag and dodge ball in grade school.
It kills me how both liberals and conservatives think America is broken and needs fixing. How in the world did we ever get this far without all these left and right fixes?

Well if one is paying money to learn about a certain subject, and the professor decides to talk about something else, then yes, it should be a law. I pay money to go to college and learn about certain things, not my professor's opinions
