I don't know that one.. but I do know "Papa was a rolling stone".... you know the man, wherever he laid his hat was his home, and when he died, well, all he left us was alone. Anyhow, that was done by The Temptations, and it was also covered by George Michael when he performed with Queen.

Yes i'm going to have to agree with all the above, it is actually called 'Pappa was a Rolling Stone' by the Temptations.

Do you mean 'Popa was a rolling stone' by the Temptations? This was a hit in 1972.

I've never heard of "my father was a rolling stone" but I've heard "Papa was a rolling stone" which is by Sly and the family stone

Well, first it was the temtations, but then George Michael recorded that as well, together with another song which I can't remember now.
The video eas cool, with sort of brand packages but with dismal words on them instead of the Logos
