I have tons of nicknames.
My family nickname is Ra-Ra. (My name is Rachel). Thats because my little sister couldn't say Rachel when she was a baby, so the name she called me stuck.
My nickname with my school friends is Shelly. It was an inside joke in my french class, and the name stuck.
My sports nickname is Fish. It comes from my last name. Someone called me fish once, and we all started laughing, so the name stuck.
Nicknames are spontaneous. They're really just a joke. So you have to wait until someone does something dumb and the nickname they get will stick.

I have a couple actually.
Fred- from my uncle, I'm not exactly sure how this came about except I used to have a dog named Fred and he had to shoot it when it got hit by a car. I have had this one for about 25 years. Its still going strong. If my uncles called me anything else I would probably not even realize they were talking to me.
Momma J- My friend gave this to me when I became pregnant in high school.
Jen- well its just short
Old lady- my husband thinks it funny to call me that
