There is no turning about this question.

All people have it in their nature to be evil!

An act of evil is a choice!

Not all people desire peace and love. In fact, if you look at the past of the human race, it's almost in our instinct to be violent. There's a personality disorder called antisocial personality disorder. This doesn't mean they don't like to be around people, it means that they are against society. These people feel no guilt or anxiety whatsoever. Psychologists have done tests on several prisoners that have shown to have antisocial personality disorder and put them in situations where others would feel extreme anxiety, and these prisoners didn't have any physiological or psychological reaction. In other situations, some people are just influenced by the violent culture we live in, in particular young people.

All people are powered with good and evil, both qualities.

What is good ? Just absence of evil.

Now why almost all people desire for good, for peace and love ?

Becoz it is in their nature.

Becoz they have been able to suppress their evil feelings.

Beacoz the environment in which they are brought up doesnt allow them to play evil.

Becoz the fear of punishment which may be awarded to them by the system of law, stop them from commiting an evil.

Becoz they dont want to counter guilty feeling after committing an evil deed.

The 'FEW' who are left, resort to evil.

I don't think all people desire peace. Some people want to feel like they are "winning", whatever that means to them. They turn evil when the payoff exceeds the punishment, or sometimes they're just mentally ill.

That's a good question that I ask every other day.... one day a person can be an angel to you then the next turn into the complete opposite ...for instance co-workers who start out liking you and patting you on the back and a week later spread rumors and gossip about you... I think it boils down to people being jealous and mean spirited because you have more than them or they wish they have what you have .

Your heart and mind become calloused due to disappointment after disappointment. Misfortunes happened to a person time after time....even though they did everything "right". They went to work every day, paid their taxes on time, but yet they kept getting bad breaks in life. If you apply enough pressure to anything, eventually it will break. We are in a constant battle between good and evil!

People who have wrong done to them, put into their system, have a need to give it back. It doesn't matter to whom, or how.

This is the straight poop answer, btw, before people show up telling you "there's no such thing as evil."

I think our basic instinct is to be bad, but as civilized people, we learn to control ourselves and be good. I think the older you get, the more you suffer and the more hard knocks are dealt to you by the world. You become jaded, despondent and become "evil" (as you put it) because you feel hopeless and just can't stand it anymore.

It is possible to think yourself evil. Evil people are not born but they are grown. If you entertain certain evil thoughts you too can eventially become evil. It is everybodys responsibilitiy to stay good and to repel sinister urges.
