Because clothing makers figure that if we are fat that we automatically don't care what we look like, so they use the most butt ugly fabrics to make the clothes.
I mean, seriously, WHY do they make plus sized clothes that have horizontal stripes on them? Who thought that was a good idea?!?!?
I see a lot of clothes on skinny people that are cute, but when it comes to the fat clothes, not so much. I mean, I know I wouldn't necessarily look good in what a skinny person would wear, but I would at least like to have to opportunity to try that stuff on.

I agree! Do the designers really think EVERYONE is a size 8?
I was looking for a nice dress to wear to a funeral a couple of weeks ago. When you look @ Jr. sizes, they are all so cute. But go to the Women or Plus Size and it all looks like s**t my grandma wouldn't be caught in.
I ended up wearing something I already had.

the 1st element i think of of when I hear plus-length style is "costly"!! Lane Bryant averages $40 9 a blouse from what i've got spoke of. i admire their kinds however the fees in simple terms get loopy. From what i've got seen at different shops, greater inexpensive plus-length clothing in simple terms isn't made nicely and would not slot as nicely. i think of that standard shops like forever 21 could have a plus-length area of their shop, or in simple terms flow a head and combine the plus-sized clothing into something of the shop. i can not "in simple terms flow procuring" with my buddies by way of fact the shops I shop in don't have plus-sizes. I hate that!!

I shop in the mens section mostly because plus size clothes are ugly most of the time.

I agree. But I do buy from the Lane Bryant catalogue and shop at Fashion Bug. Sometimes I luck out at Wally World, as well. The designers don't take in account those of us who are pear-shaped. That's my pet peeve.

I totally agree! I really hate it when they send you magazines with skinny people advertising plus siz cloths. how can you tell what they look like on a plus size person?Just because we are a plus size doesn't mean we don't deserve to look good.

Lane Bryant should be called "Lame Bryant" All I ever find is some ugly paisley, stripe, checker board,or flower shirt. Then if loe and behold I find something I like its like a million and a half dollars.

I don't think they are that bad, though I am a size 14, I still like to wear much bigger clothes, but I like what I wear, I guess it is just a matter of taste. :)
