no. while apples don't usually fall far from the tree, every once in a while one rolls away to become its own tree. junior may follow in the political footsteps, but he won't follow in the corruption scandals.

The only thing I noted was what you said about certain members of his family, and make sure that you meant a couple of his uncles not all! No one mentions that he has an uncle on the city council that pushes for what's right "ethically". That their family business is not politics but the funeral business, in which some of the members happen to be politicians. This man has been the Congressman for the last two terms, if the people thought that his running under his father's name was a fluke the first time why was he re-elected? Surely the people knew the difference by then. I mean no political candidate is perfect but at least Harold Jr. is formally educated. Did you know he has a degree in law?And since he went to school in the business of law., one would think that he would be self assured when it came to the causes of us my fellow Tennesseans. I have watched commercials over and over of Corker trying to "expose" Ford Jr. But this man is an un-married, successful, educated diplomat. We don't hear tells of woe about him being an unwed father,(shows responsibilty) he is not married ( meaning he would be readily available if something should happen to occur and we need the voice of Tennessee to be in attendance) he has a law degree(meaning he himself would be able to understand what he was voting on). Mr. Corker has been uneasy hence the commercials, we all know that Corker has money, yet he spends it redundantly trying to low rate Ford, seems like to me he finds his opponent worthy, more than that formidable! Prayerful he not only will follow in his father footsteps but excede them! Good Luck!! FORD JR.

I think Harold Ford Jr. has the ability to go beyond his father. I dont buy the fact that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. If that were true then after Oprah had a baby at 14, she would have been stuck in a life filled with the poverty and despair that she grew up in. And most people who lifted themselves out of unfathomable circumstances wouldnt have been able to do that if the apple didnt fall far from the tree.
Do we punish the child for the sins of their father?? I hope not. Let Harold Ford be his own man and if he does wrong by the U.S. and Tennessee, then get his *** out of there.
*Thats if he is elected senator.

Not if the voters of Tennessee can help it.
Harold Jr. got where he is because he comes from a one-party district in Memphis. State-wide, he won't be able to count on his automatic vote like he and his pappy did before.
By the way, what do others think of Ford's holy-roller act? It doesn't mesh well with the high-rollers who are funding his campaign, does it!

Jr pronounced that he became no longer likely to force the three automobile .... perchance no longer even his final year he's became RCR, if he does connect the RCR team. He has no longer made a decision to what he might want to do. He needs to locate all of his thoughts. And he does no longer be following in his fathers footsteps. in simple terms by way of fact he could force for RCR doesnt recommend hes going to be something like his dad.

Harold Ford is a 'connected' politician, a liberal and quite 'slick'.
His values do not reflect the values of the conservative ' Bible Belt' constituents here in Tennessee that he desires to represent.
On the other hand, Bob Corker, a successful organizer and businessman has the skills and personality and conservative values so important to Tennesseans. He however has PROVEN while mayor of Chattanooga, that he USES public office ( legally, but some say un-ethically ) for his own personal gain.
I am afraid Tennesseans are NOT offered a GREAT choice in this race. Just for the value of the 'National seat' I will vote for Corker. The thought of Ted Kennedy in power again scares me.

Its unfortunate that black candidates are held to a different standard as white candidates, and white candidates, like Bob Corker, who stopped talking issues about 2 weeks ago--keeps reminding voters of the "machine politics" of the Ford Family
If the Republicans were 20 points ahead, ya think they would be talking about this?? Would they be blasting him for his "holy roller" act if the race wasn't this close? The comment below proves my point.

Harold Ford is a good apple(yeah right) from a barrel of bad apples. History will suggest he too will go bad. I think he is just like Clinton. Good Looking, Good Talking, but as slick as they come.
VOTE FOR CORKER...........
