When I read this question, I immediately thought of
Blanche Devereaux, Rue McClanahan's character on "The Golden Girls" on television... The other characters are:
Beatrice Arthur = played Dorothy Petrillo-Zbornak
Betty White = played Rose Nylund
Estelle Getty = played Sophia Petrillo
It was one of my favorite sitcoms in its day, and I still watch it periodically when it comes on in reruns...
