For your information, Mount Kinabalu is situated in State of Sabah, Malaysia. Sabah is located on the Borneo Island east of South China Sea and west of Phillipines.

Go direct to Sabah, the accomodation and food is cheaper than Singapore and most tourist stay there for 2 to 3 days. There is mountain climbing, jungle trekking as well as a forest reserve for tourist to enjoy the flora and fauna on the base of Mount Kinabalu. Most people are on the look out for the largest flower in the world - The Rafflesia.

I do not know whether there is direct flight from your country to Sabah. You may wish to get a flight to either Singapore,Changi Airport or Malaysia , Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) which offer daily flights to Sabah.

I don't know what the cheapest air ticket would be. You should call around to travel agencies in your area. Mount Kinabalu is beautiful but it's cooler up there so you might want to wear a jacket. Have fun!

If you're in Singapore. You can try Silkair, which offer direct flight to Kota Kinabalu.

Else, You can travel to Senai airport, JB, the Malaysia Budget Airline, Air Asia do have flight to Kota Kinabalu as well and something the fare is really dirt cheap.
