I have a friend who is doing it for a cousin of hers and never did it before. Just wondering so I can let her know so she doesnt get "taken". Serious answers please.

surrogates usually get a lawyer to deal with that but since she is family she may not get one. Its best for both if she does so urge her to.

If they are doing it to help out a childless couple(especially family) and not to "make money", then they usually just ask to have all the doctor, test and hospital bills paid.
