Yeah, but how would the person act like phychologically (can't spell - I know) if originally they had been upset in the lesson about the amount they were getting and not getting it done etc. and is now seeing a counsellor, and is improving and trying really hard but it will take another year with the counsellor

If I'm reading this correctly you sound as though you are trying to demonstrate to someone else that you are gaining in your understanding and appreciation of your course. If I have this right, I would have to say actions always speak louder than words... be on time, on task, and on target. Anyone who knew you were struggling before would definitely note the change. I'm an Instructor at a university and know when my students are just not getting something or even if they have personal issues that may be holding them back. Hang in with your couselor... don't set a goal in terms of a year or so... set your goals by personal achievements. Much success to you.

Ask questions and if needed, keep a journal of all work and studying you are doing. If you are still worried about getting everything done, just say it. Some people are able to multi task and get many things done in a short period of time. If you aren't one of those types of people, work on some small tasks for a small amount of time, setting aside enough time for each. You know which subjects you are having the most trouble with and make those the priorities. Good luck and keep a positive attitude....

This is simple. Actually work at being more time efficiient, study, etc. Give yourself time limits for completing tasks. Set up a timer so you can monitor your progress. Make a certain time every day for homework, and once that amount of time is over and your tasks are completed, do something you want. It's hard being studious, but I learned to do it over the course of a couple of years, and I'm sure you can, too. Good luck!!

I have two bits of advice - firstly talk to your teachers about how hard you are finding things and they will probably be able to help you plan your work and give you extra support. Secondly, try to stop worrying about how much you are/are not getting done and focus on doing the best you can on one piece of work at a time.
