In addition to applying directly to companies offering jobs, you should try applying for jobs posted at major job websites like Careerbuilder, Yahoo! Hotjobs Craigslist and Monster and upload your resume for free. Websites like Indeed and Simply Hired allow you to search details of jobs posted on all major job boards, newspapers, associations and online classifieds. Dude!
No one checks for diplomas.
I have hired scores of people over the years. I promise that if you say that you have your diploma, no one will know otherwise.
Everyone embellishes a resume or job application. Some people outright lie and get away with it. Welcome to the world.
At least you can spell better than most people in this forum.

Fast food, restaurants, nursing homes, retail sales and SuperCenters (Walmart, K-Mart, etc.). Would be worth your time and effort and open up many more better paying job opportunties to get you GED and get a one year certificate at a trade school doing something you enjoy.
