It's not normal. Go and see your doctor - any abnormal bleeding is a cause for concern and should be checked out. It might be something completely minor like a burst cyst or a polyp, but you really should consult your doctor - better safe than sorry!

A lot depends on how much "lots" is, and how extensive.
It's not unusual to have variations in menstrual cycles and to sometimes have much more bleeding than your norm (and the norm can vary quite a bit from woman to woman).
What other symptoms are you having with it? Does it seem to be just normal menstrual bleeding, other than that fact that it has gone on for a couple of weeks? Or are you having other symptoms that you don't normally have during your period? If you are, then you should see your doctor now. It may be nothing, but it needs to be checked.
If you have no other symptoms, and if it's not gushing constantly I would carefully observe for a few more days, but if it persists then definitely see a doctor.
Good luck!

sometimes when you have your period (menstrual cycle) the bleeding may stop for a couple of days or hours, then start again, it's totally normal.although if you are still really worried you could go to your GP to get looked at,but this is totally normal. â¥gd luckâ¥
