it can work but it depends on 2 people

It matters how truly committed the two people are. If they are committed, then there is a chance of it working, but if they are not, it's up in the air. I've seen many long distance relationships fall apart on my friends, because of lack of honesty, and no way knowing what the other person could do behind their back. It's really a matter of trust. I have seen a friend who had one work though, but it took a lot of patience. Just try to keep close to your boyfriend for now, and see how it works out.

Yes long distance relationship works. But not all the times

It takes great maturity to endure a long-distance relationship. It also takes a great amount of trust and loyalty, which is in short supply with the typical teen; there is simply too many other things a teen needs to worry about, least of which is school, grades, work, clubs, friends, enemies, tv, movies, clothes, cars, the list is seemingly endless. Adults who find themselves in "LDR"'s seldom seem to make these work, so how can a teenager? But I tried when I was younger, and even though I thought we were mature enough, we weren't. But there is the 'one-in-a-million' success story you might hear, and it might be true, but is it worth the gamble, emotionally?

yes it works. my friends got a long distance girlfriend and they only meet in the holidays and been going on for a year. i think the important thing is to keep in touch. talk about eachothers day and keep eachothers interest going. get a web cam and can talk over the internet. send eachother txts/pics anything and stuff.
however i'd say that for teenagers it is harder because they want things fast and now sort of thing and mite not be patient to wait to meet their partners again and go for someone they can be with. However since it's working for my friend (16 yrs old) and they seem fine than it's possible.

I have seen it work - friends of mine were long distance for years & then they got married. They've been together for about 8 years.

Yes, they do work. But. Both people have to want it to work. You have to love eachother enough to make an effort to keep the fire alive. Love is like a fire. If no one is their to tend it, it goes out.

yeah . . . no. you will eventully lose touch with him. the exact thing happened with my boyfriend. that sucks. my exboyfriend is now going out with someone else i heard. he was the nicest guy but it wouldn't work. we were way to far away. not to be a downer, but it probably won't work. I give it 2 months.
