The instruction book does not cover this.I have to write in the Pounds and Euros.Any ideas please.

click start, run, then enter "charmap" to copy and paste the required characters and get the keyboard shortcuts.

Don't know Acer keyboard, but on mine I use the Alt Gr button to the right of the space bar for those characters ot the bottom right-hand corner of the keys for example ~~#{[|`\^@]}¤€ ( it's a french keyboard so some characters are in unusual places ). like the fullstop is a shift character.

The other thing you might like to know is that usually you can go to ther INSERT box , choose SYMBOL and then click on whichever currency symbol you want. If you only need pound and euro symbols occasionally, and the shortcut suggestions don't work, this could be your best option. good luck.

One other way is to type GBP for Pound signs and EUR for Euros in front of any amount. For Dollars type USD. That's what I and my colleagues do, a much better and generally accepted way of denoting currency types, especially when sending e-mails out in Plain text.
