Yes you can get alcohol at various restaurants. However; many times you go to the state run liquor store and buy your wine before hand. There are private clubs that sell mixed drinks and many pubs and bars that serve beer and wine and then give you set=ups. which is a coke or 7up to mix your hard alcohol with. So in many instances you bring your own bottle to the bar, When you want to leave they give you a "to go" cup and you leave with your drink and the rest of your bottle. But... Just ask the hotel staff and they will fill you in with no problems. They can probably even get you a temporary membership with local private clubs. All the Ski resorts are great. I prefer Snow Bird but It just depends on your level of ski-ing ability. There is something for everyone. Have fun. If you make it to Snow bird try the Steak Pit restraunt. Its right at the tram and has some of the best steaks ever. There is also a state run store within 50 feet and several bars etc. The lodge club is fun for after ski.

You will really enjoy yourself. I have just come back form Utah I spend a year over there. In terms of alcohol you can get some at a restaurant but you have to be over 21. Bars and clubs stop serving alcohol after 12.30am which is a far cry from England and their 24 hour alcohol laws.

You can walk into a gas station and by beer, believe me its not hard to get alcohol, but don't drive after drinking a lot because the police are very strict out there about it. Yes restaurants have wine and liqueur. Find a pub in walking distance in you are intending to drink alot. You probably won't even know you in countered a Mormon either, they are not people with signs on saying I'm a Mormon or acting any different from me or you.

The alcohol laws are different than other places, but there are bars, pubs, clubs, etc. all over the place in Utah. See the resources below for more info.
