I'm not sure about Ireland, but in my swim school in the United States, it's always 92 degrees F all year round. That is standard here in the US, it should be around there for around the world. It would be VERY cold otherwise, because 92 degrees is warm, but gets cold if you get out of it.

The pool temperatures varies from a winter temp of 32 degrees to a summer temperature of 29 degrees. The ambient temperature in the pool area is between 27-30 degrees providing a very comfortable space to relax in even if you don't swim.

The International olympic Committee (IOC) recommends a temperature of 26-27 Degrees Celcius for swimming pools, both indoor & outdoor. So one can maintain this temperature to enjoy swimming the year round. Thank you.
