Generally yes, however, the way the scar looks will depend on the skill and the way the sutures were put in. I had a c-section in 1997, and the scar is right above the hairline...like less than an inch. I can wear a bikini and no one would ever know. As a matter of fact, even someone looking, if they did not know, they would probably never notice the scar. My doctor did a great job. I don't have one of those big, wormy looking buldgy scars...mine is only about 6"long, if even that.

I had to have 2 c-sections (due to both babies being breach), my most recent being 20 months ago. My children are EXACTLY 7 years apart (birthdays are the same). After my first c-section, my scare faded to look like a pencil line just under my bikini line. The second time around, the doctor made the incision in the exact same place and it is fading rather nicely as the first one did. I'm assuming it too will eventually fade to be a "distant memory" and not be noticeable.

Everyone's body heals differently. Some will heal as I have and others will look like they have been to battle.

Ive had 3 csections in the last 5 years, all cut very low on tummy, basically right on the start of my bikini line, the last one was only 6 weeks ago, so i can see that scar, but if it is the same as my last 2, then after about 5 months i'll barely be able to see it at all.
These days csections are cut very low, and only about 5 inches across, unlike the giant mid belly gashes of old.

I had a c-section and there is a long scar just below my bikini line. My daughter is 14 and it is still there.

Yes. This is major abdominal surgery. Instead of being back on your feet immediately, you are in recovery for 8 weeks. Hope you can deliver vaginally because a C-section is high-risk and no fun. Good luck!
