I believe it is saying, that what we focus on, determines our reality. We are watchers of the Universe. We exist in the moment of Now. And the moment of Now , for each of us, will change depending on what we want to see. The universe is listening, means that it is there. Everything that one , wants to see , is there. Anything one wishes to see, they will see.
Seeing is experienceing, and experienceing is seeing. So if we focus our sight on things that are being happy, like a playfull kitty or a happy bird, we are speaking with our sight , to the universe, that we choose to be happy.
Yet our sight s voice, speaks to everything in the universe. So if we focus on sadness , then we recieve sad experiences.

Yes, I have believed that for a long time. Spiritually, I believe that every word we speak is every prayer we plead. Rationally, I believe what is so-called the power of mind. Whether we realize it or not, whether we speak it out or keep it for ourselves, our minds lead us to everything we want.

Those are the types of things Jesus used to say, except he says it much better, read new testament, probably luke or matthew.
