Pretty self-explanatory, I hope, but I'm sure that someone will read something into this question that isn't there.
If you agree, why? If you don't, why?
I'm not saying that it's bad for those people to have opinions; they have a right to theirs, just as I do to mine. However, both spew rhetoric and hatred constantly, and seem to cause nothing but hatred. That's my opinion.
What do you guys think?

Reason? Like Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan? That's not reasonable by ANY stretch of the imagination.
Let's see:
Michael Moore creates movies full of half-truths, misrepresentations, and outright LIES, and calls them "documentaries."
Cindy Sheehan calls those who killed her son "freedom fighters."
Hmm, no more reasonable than Rush Limbaugh.

Liberals and conservatives view the constitution from two different angles, right and left. The constitution is centered between the two, politically it's a moderate.
One of the problems with congress today is that it's almost entirely comprised of either liberals or conservatives. Moderates have been systematically eliminated from the floor of congress by the electorate. I feel this is a result of the last 20 years or so of people basing their choice of congressmen on social issues like abortion and gay rights. In the end, this has polarized the congress and the American people.
When one party or the other gets control of congress, they yank the constitution right or left of center. This is going to continue until people stop electing representatives who sole desire is to shape American society. Federal officials should be elected based on their ability to manage the affairs of the country, balance the budget, and streamline the government.
Instead, we get elected officials who try to impose one extreme view or the other on us.

I agree. If one can't admit when something is going wrong no matter what party they belong too, it's very tragic for the people of this country. It's very frustrating when people care more about party than they do about the country. I feel no loyalty to any party, but I do to my country. What is most frightening now, is that congress doesn't even know what is going on in this country, on both sides. They seem to learn more from the news broadcasts than what they are told. They have have been kept in the dark, while government departments are running the country. Middle America seems to be forgotten completely.

I couldn't agree more. Both extremes bully their more moderate peers into voting strictly partisan. All I hear these days is a cry for change from Republican rule, but is switching to Democrat rule the best answer. Both parties, as you already stated, are full of hate mongers. If people really want change in Congress, vote for third party candidates. This will open the eyes of the two leading parties; telling them just how far out of touch they have gotten from the American people.

Probably at one time, both were bad for the US. In the last 20 years, however, the Christian Right and neocons have taken over the government and intimidated politicians from both sides so much, that we are unable to have reasonable sophisticated discussions of civil rights including ERA (remember, they said if that passed, women would be using men's bathrooms and not wearing bras), gay marriage (it would ruin heterosexual marriages), and reproductive rights. Furthermore, their scare tactics have been carried over to the "war on terrorism". Now, so many Americans think all Muslims are terrorists, both party senators have supported the Patriot Act (taking away more Civil Rights than any other action), and are scared to talk about torture tactics in a straightforward manner. If you don't support the war, you must not support the troops, and you must be un-American. It's just all wrong. So, I think the far liberals actually need to start being louder to counteract this takeover of America. Our politicians need to know that we will support them if they stand up to those bullies.

First of all, not one of the folks, or entities you recounted desire to "hate and aid warfare towards 'heathen' muslims, desire to ship all mexicans again to mexico, thinks blacks are inhuman nature criminals, and needs to preserve gays within the closet". You are faulty. I concentrate to Limbaugh for a little while nearly five days per week and he has not ever stated, nor does he suppose, any of that. He does not hate muslims or black folks. He does not believe homosexuality, however he does not desire to do any damage to them. Powell and Steele have taken plenty fo feedback for change motives. Steele hasn't performed an overly well activity at main the Republican social gathering, and because the RNC Chairman, he demands to be ready to do this. Powell is only a Republican and turns out to lean extra to the left at the present time. And give up announcing Fox is a ways proper. They have numerous liberal commentators on there all day lengthy debating problems. Maybe in case you stopped being attentive to all the lies and opening considering for your self, you could notice this.

Definiteley so that`s why are government works. We need the house with all parties in it to kep the others straight . Life is not all cut and dry (all demo or all rep etc...) There are so many more issues out there than there was when our gov was created . No one party is going to have the right answere to all of them. We need opinions and people willing to fight for what THEY think is right just to keep others on a POWER TRIP honest and true .

No I can not agree.
We need all points of view no matter how disdainful they may be. We are a nation of free men and women. What is bad is this discourse that we find the two sides in. Each side needs to have some respect for the other. The name calling is just a small part of it.

I think that's a fair statement.

Look at what the extreme right currently in power has done to the country. As you said rhetoric, hatred and I would add fear-mongering.

The extreme far right is in power in the USA and a real left has not existed since the depression and even then it was effete and tiny. America has always been a plutocracy and plutocracies are naturally to the right.

Extremism in any shape or form is wrong. It does relay to facts nor view opinions just gags with false exaggeration and spits hatred.
