It's really hard to say. Mathematical operations were in use since the time of early man. At that time, people kept count of flocks of animals they reared by using stones. In case an animal joined the flock, a stone was added. In case one left or died, a stone was removed. The Romans, I believe, were the first to give names to numbers and use symbols for them. The Indians then came up with the zero and the decimal system. You could say that this discovery was the turning point of mathematics. The Arabs then took this system and introduced it to Europe. Euclid of Alexandria then introduced and did extensive research on geometry. Pythagoras continued it. All these people can be called the fathers(or for your purposes, the inventors) of Mathematics.

its separate branches evolved with time
like algebra in arabic countries
calculas by newton /leibnitz in uk
etc
