After you install the program you should be able to right click on the icon and under properties you can specify that the program should run in win98 mode. I don't remember all the details, but you can look under help and support on the start menu and ask about running older programs on xp.

place the cd in the drive.
when it runs, close the program, but don't eject the disk

find the game or disk drive and right click on it
click on properties.
click on compatibility
tick the box run on windows...
select 98

So many people have already suggested the way how to use it but some times the display settings does not compatible with XP. Try to use by changing the display settings but not sure that you can play it.

Go to the game's web site - it should be listed on the cd cover. They will list patches necessary for the newer OS (operating system) download and install. CD should run.
Have you tried going to My Computer, Click on the CD to run the game?

you shouldnt have any problem,, we have disks that we only used on 98 that we loaded on Xp and worked just fine,, the only issue you may have is that it runs on low resolution,,600x480 or whatever the lowest resolution is,, so it may be grainy,, but all you have to do is install the game in xp,, it has all the prior operating systems in its database , so itll read older material,,, put your disk in,, right click , click open,, and then click on the set up icon for the disk,, it may have an autorun feature, so as soon as you put it in, it may boot up right away
