With all the silly restriction on the latest Microsoft OS "vista", I am seriouly thinking of switch to apple? What are the pros and cons ?

Well it really depends on what you plan on doing. If you plan on doing video editing and stuff of that nature, Macs have a decent advantage, although Windows will do it as well, just not as well. If you are going to do gaming, you have to go PC, don't even think about a Mac if you are a gamer. For just word processing and general internet surfing, either will do. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to email me, I would like to know which restrictions on Vista you are talking about since I am considering buying it myself. Email is in my profile.

Pros: nice looking case; simple to operate (but on the other hand, considered brain-dead by some).
Cons: more restrictive. Some even sillier unless you consider a marketing point of view. That applies to both hardware and software.

well you have 2 learn a whole new language
and most software is written 4 pc first and comes out 4 mac 6 months or so latter and is twice as expencive
on the good side their are far fewer viruses for mac
