I read somewhere that Atlantas was an island that was destroyed due to a comet that impacted above it, which caused everyone to be incinerated immediately, the blast from the comets explosion had the impact to destroy the island which submerged into the ocean. For the island to do this sea levels would have been raised and coastlines were changed.
I just wanted to know what your thoughts were on this subject. Do you believe Atlantas existed at all and if you do how do you think its destruction came about?

I did notice i got the spelling wrong and its Atlantis. I went back and read the material I have and it said that the comet was actually 2 that collided together over the island. The two comets were apparently from to planatery objects that collided in space and sent them hurtling towards earth. Anyway just thought i'd note that.

Thank you for answering my question, i appreciate your views.

Atlantis was orginally predicted by Plato (correcct me if I'm wrong) and was later echoed by another man whos name has slipped my nid. Well, either way I personally do not believe in atlantis. There is a belief that there was onece a great civilization that may have been destryoed by natural occurences, this civilization was believed to be hundreds of years before its time. There is a possibility that this civilization could have been an island near europe that was partly submerged after a volcano eruption, or there is a second schoool of thought that it may be in an area near the carribean where there is a curious and unexplained series of rocks that appear to be forming a pathway to somewhere and there is a supposed "fountain of youth" nearby whith healing capabilities. Remember this could all be explained. If you are really intrested just wikipedia the subject and you'll get a mor einformative answer than mine

Read the psychic predictions of Edgar Cayce. He says Atlantis will be back (rise again) after the cataclysms of 2012. Then all questions will be answered...to the survivors.

Possibly. You should really do more research on the subject. There are also other stories about Atlantis.
