I now think the song was called something like halim habib and no doubt was a one hit wonder. The middle lyrics were definately in an asian language introducet by the lyrics "thats the way its got to be". It was late 80s and was around with s-express and would be classed as old school house music - its so cheesy and would be an experience to hear it again! who's up for a challange to identify it and best answer? thanks.

i remember "lets work it to the bone" i think that was LMR or LNR or the asian lyrics remind me of Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke

I initially thought it could be C+C music factory - Everybody Dance Now, but the Asian lyrics you refer to don't fit. Check it out though. Might be the right one.

Are you sure it wasn't "Let's Dance" by David Bowie?
