TV News report last night told of the thousands or refugees from Somalia who are trying to escape from the Islamic invaders of their country who are killing, raping, chopping off limbs, burning down houses and other actions.

I want this to be an opportunity for followers of Islam in the UK to make their own positions clear, so that we can all more fully understand how followers of Islam can integrate into our society.

NO JUVENILE OR RACIST POSTS BY NON-ISLAMIC CONTRIBUTORS PLEASE

This is NOT a loaded question it is a SPECIFIC request for information.

To akband - 'condone' means supports - I don't understand your reply.

PLEASE NOTE: This Question requests responses from Islamic followers only! I hoped it would generate a better understanding between our societies.

Well, it was a chance for open discussion, but surprisingly not much response, so I'll leave it up for now with a renewed invitation for followers of Islam ONLY to respond.

1.00 pm Sunday UK Winter Time: I'm going to make a decision in 1 hour - thank you to everyone who has contributed and I'm really sad that more Muslims weren't able to enlighten me as I don't particularly believe everything that appears through the media.

It is not in any way or form permitted by Islam, killing other people is prohibited. As for the Somalian militia, it is INHUMANE, and BARBARIC, and it is CONDEMED completley! Now this group is actually not only killing, but raping and torturing just like in Iraq which is not permitted in Islam, Judaism, or Christianity.

thank you for the opportunity for open discussion. I hope I was helpful

"A few emails describing covert illegal operations by private military companies in breach of UN regulations have been reported [2] by the UK sunday newspaper The Observer."

Not as simple as that is it. To be honest I don't know enough about the conflict to give you a reasonable answer but Ive just had a quick look on wikipedia and seen this statement, it looks like there is a lot going on in this story.

im am not a follower of islam, but i have found these quotes in a version of the Quran i have on my computer

[2:191] You may KILL those who wage war against you, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. Oppression is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred Masjid, unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may KILL them. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers.

[9:123] O you who believe, you shall fight the DISBELIEVERS who attack you - let them find you stern - and know that GOD is with the righteous.

As with anything else, it depends on how you see the situation and there is always some one willing to bend the meaning of what is written.

I am Church of England
Sorry but this sounds like a loaded question.

Civil war creates civilian casualties everywhere and often in the same religion. Spain and Franco, England and Cromwell, and this is without wars where both sides from the same religion pray to the same God before they slaughter each other.

what's quite irritating is that a number of the data pronounced have been in all risk wonderful. She in all risk did ask to be punished after hours of being interrogated and informed how "evil" she is. yet isn't it much greater stunning that neither article mentions the adult males who raped her being punished? Now generally i'm prepared on "non secular Rights" yet while a faith makes use of it quite is doctrines to punish the sufferer I also have a large project with that. it is in simple terms ill and makes me think of that in step with risk it quite is not any such undesirable thought that we've our troups over in those international locations attempting to look after those defenseless lady and teenagers. i think of we could continually in simple terms deliver jointly up the finished "non secular armed forces" and shoot them in the returned of their heads or greater suitable yet, cause them to flow for the time of the punishment they have made this lady flow by and characteristic them stoned to dying.

Islam condones actions like the ones you stated, the people doing these barbaric acts do not belong to Islam, they are just using Islam for there own agenda which all Muslims like me will strongly condone.

Yes. It is in Quran that Allah has ordered to kill all non-muslims and so whatever they are doing is just following their religion and nothing else.
