Internet explorer and other media players demanding upgrading on the screen of my desktop

In order to upgrade to WinXP, you would have to purchase it and install it onto your computer. However, as mentioned, it is quite likely your computer is old enough that you do not have the resources to run XP.

In which case you have three choices ....
1) upgrade a lot of the hardware on your computer, not a good choice... would be better to...
2) purchase a new computer, or, if these options are not currently within your budget, then ....
3) use older versions of these and other programs until you can get a new computer.

As explained to me, if you purchased a computer with w98 bundled on it, you may not be able to upgrade to win xp. Simply put, win xp demands faster operating speed and stuff than most older computers have. You may have to bite the bullet and get a newer computer with xp bundled in it....
