Check your hard drive available space by clicking my computer...then c drive and right click properties. If you are almost full you may need to delete some stuff like personal files and pictures , video and music and put them on discs instead of storing them in your computer. Then when you have half or more hard drive empty ...go back and use the disc defragmenter in start , accessories...system tools ...disc defragmenter. Think of your files as if they were paper ones in an office...you have used them and looked at various pages over time and then laid down a page here and there and they have become scattered all over your office. Now the IRS wants to see your taxes from 2003....geeze that will take some time because I have to look in 40 or so places all over the office you say.....Well your computer say's the same thing...when you don't defrag...to defragment is like hiring a personal secretary to put all your files back in order so that when you ask to use one of them ....it can say...I got it right here !

You only ran antispy scans. Do you have an antivirus program. If not, then go here and run an online scan:

After that scan and removal then go here and download one of these Free AntiVirus programs. I recommend AVG.

scan again all your drives. if you find something delete it. if you don't download tune up utilities to clean your hard drive from unnecessary things and also derangement it. then click start then run type msconfig and in the start up tab click disable all except from your anti virus program and firewall
