It depends on how you use the phrase. If you are speaking about something you are doing in the present, the correct phrase is "I am going" or "I'm going." If you are describing something you do regularly or often, then "I go" is correct. For example "I go to the grocery store on Lake Street."

Yes, it's grammatically correct. It has a subject and verb, and it makes sense in the regard as a response to a question such as, "Who goes?"

The answer from yogini108 is correct. I GO is the VERB.

It is easily & very often used incorrectly by those from overseas....."I go to the shops" is often heard when it should be "I am going to the shops" ....now or in the immediate future.

However...."I go to the shops every week."...is correct.

Confusing isn't it. The English language is tricky. Good luck
